Poland STANAG 6001 English Test Dates 2026

Poland's General Tadeusz Kościuszko Military University of Land Forces, or AWL, publishes three remaining external STANAG 6001 English dates for 2026: October 10, November 21 and December 12.

October and December are SPJ 2222 sessions. November is SPJ 1111. Registration opens only during a short window before each date, and seats are allocated in the order of correct applications.

AWL STANAG 6001 calendar

AWL also publishes 2027 sessions, but they are outside this article's 2026 intent. The next is SPJ 2222 on March 6, 2027.

The application form appears on the AWL page on the first day of each window. Applications sent after the window cannot be accepted because the form becomes inactive.

The table distinguishes application from admission. AWL sends a preliminary message, then publishes a final list shortly before the test.

October 10 SPJ 2222 registration

The most immediate route is the October 10 level-2 examination.

AWL does not send an automatic email receipt immediately after the form is submitted. Candidates are asked not to call merely to request that confirmation.

Within five working days after the window, AWL sends either preliminary qualification or notice that the person is on the reserve list because places are unavailable.

Only a preliminarily accepted candidate should follow the payment instructions. Correct form completion, timely payment and every step in the message are necessary for final admission.

November and December sessions

The November 21 session tests SPJ 1111. Its application window is October 19 through October 23, and the final list is due by November 19.

The December 12 session returns to SPJ 2222. Applications are accepted November 9 through November 13, and the final list is due by December 10.

Each event is a separate application. Missing October does not automatically move an applicant to November, and the November session is a different level.

A candidate seeking level 2 after missing October should use the December window rather than register for level 1 and assume the certificate can be converted.

The schedule can change, so the live AWL page and qualification email remain controlling.

What SPJ 1111 and 2222 mean

The Polish abbreviation SPJ describes a standardized language profile under STANAG 6001.

The four digits represent skills in this order:

1. Listening.
2. Speaking.
3. Reading.
4. Writing.

SPJ 1111 records level 1 in all four. SPJ 2222 records level 2 in all four.

The AWL external calendar covers only levels 1 and 2. A different institution's 3333 military session should not be treated as an open AWL external seat.

STANAG results are not CEFR certificates. A private school may compare levels for teaching purposes, but the official profile remains four military-language digits.

Four skills on one day

AWL says all four skills take place on the same day in this order:

1. Reading.
2. Listening.
3. Writing.
4. Speaking.

The examination usually begins around 8:30 a.m. Written skills continue until about noon. Speaking then begins according to a previously determined candidate order.

The page does not give one universal finish time because a candidate's speaking slot depends on that order.

A candidate cannot take selected level-1 skills and level-2 skills on the same day. The day is tied to one chosen level.

Pass score, results and retest wait

AWL requires at least 70%, stated as 14 points, for each skill at levels 1 and 2.

Results are announced within 21 calendar days. They are not provided by telephone because of personal-data protection.

Certificates are mailed to the address in the application within three months of the examination date.

If at least one skill is failed, the normal wait before retaking the same level is two months. Exceptions apply to specified professional-soldier candidates, personnel serving in international structures and people who have completed semester or remedial language courses.

The two-month rule should be considered before choosing December after an October failure. October 10 to December 12 is more than two months, but the December application window begins before the October result deadline could fully expire; the institution's instructions control eligibility.

Fees, preliminary qualification and reserve list

The same paid rule applies to civilians and professional soldiers in the external route.

Candidates should not transfer money when merely placed on the reserve list. AWL warns that such a payment will not be refunded.

The correct sequence is:

1. Submit the form during the published window.
2. Wait for the preliminary response.
3. Pay only when the message confirms preliminary qualification.
4. Ensure payment arrives by the stated deadline.
5. Check the final accepted list.

Late payment removes a person from the qualified list. A correctly submitted form alone does not reserve a place.

Civilians, soldiers and direct entry to level 2

People outside Poland's Ministry of National Defence can apply for AWL external exams at levels 1 and 2.

No direct request to the Rector is needed. The candidate uses the electronic form during the published registration window.

A level-1 certificate is not a prerequisite for level 2. AWL explicitly permits direct entry to SPJ 2222.

Admission remains capacity-controlled. The order of correct applications determines acceptance when demand exceeds places.

The certificate can matter for military recruitment and assignment, but its effect depends on the exact personnel route. AWL notes that STANAG does not automatically exempt a higher-education applicant from ordinary admission language evidence.

This is separate from other government and military assessments, including Spain's Guardia Civil English test, Spain National Police certificate rule, German Foreign Office English test, and UN Language Proficiency Examination.

Why the Germany calendar was rejected

The original queue called for a Germany STANAG 6001 calendar. The official Bundessprachenamt page confirms that general Bundeswehr language exams occur twice yearly in English, French and Russian.

It does not publish public 2026 dates. It also says the examination must be requested by the candidate's personnel-managing office.

That is enough to explain Germany's internal route, but not enough for a date article. We therefore replaced Germany with Poland, where AWL publishes dates, registration windows, costs, admission steps and civilian access.

Readers should not use Poland's October 10 date as a German Bundeswehr appointment. STANAG standardizes profiles, not every country's booking calendar.
