Austria C2 Proficiency September 2026 schedule

The table comes from Cambridge's official Germany and Austria open-dates page. It names the main session, city, deadline and centre but not fee, final venue or Speaking appointment.

France has one September C2 listing and Germany has three. Compare the France C2 date and Germany C2 dates rather than transferring their deadlines onto Vienna.

Two exams and two ten-day deadlines

The matching ten-day pattern also appears in Vienna's later published C2 dates, but it remains a local centre pattern. It is not a universal Cambridge entry rule.

Contact the centre early. A listed deadline can remain visible after capacity fills, and Cambridge's table does not expose seat counts.

C1 and C2 share dates but not the exam

Vienna's C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency listings use the same September 19 and 26 dates, centre and deadlines. That does not make them the same test.

Why there is no paper session

Cambridge's fixed C2 paper dates in 2026 are March 7, May 16, June 6, June 12, November 26 and December 12. September is absent.

Digital sessions can run throughout the year through authorised centres, which is why Vienna has September 19 and 26. Digital written components use a computer at the centre; it is not a home test.

What to confirm with Cambridge Institute Wien

The authorised centre handles registration. Ask for:

1. Remaining capacity.
2. Current fee and payment method.
3. Final venue address.
4. Speaking date and time.
5. Required original ID.
6. Transfer and cancellation rules.

Wait for the Confirmation of Entry before arranging non-refundable travel. An authorised centre can run an exam at an agreed venue that differs from its office.

The Speaking date is not published

Cambridge's open table does not list the local Speaking appointment. C2 Speaking has three parts and normally uses two candidates and two examiners.

The overall result uses Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking and Use of English. The receiving institution can impose its own overall or component requirement.
