Terms of Service
Last updated: August 14, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SpeakShark ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
SpeakShark is an AI-powered English pronunciation practice platform that provides real-time feedback through conversations with AI teachers. Each AI teacher maintains a personalised memory of facts you disclose so conversations feel continuous across sessions; see our Privacy Policy for details on what is stored and how to delete it.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
4. Plans, Payments and Refunds
The Free plan includes limited daily sessions and requires no payment card, so you can try SpeakShark fully before you pay. The Pro plan provides unlimited access. Paid subscriptions can be canceled at any time and stay active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. All payments are final and non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, unused sessions, and plan downgrades, except where a refund is required by the law of your country.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: attempting to circumvent usage limits, using the Service for purposes other than language learning, or interfering with other users.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service are owned by SpeakShark. Your recordings, practice data, and memory data remain yours — we act as a processor on your behalf and never train AI models on your content.
7. AI Teacher Memory & AI Processing
By using the Service, you consent to AI processing of your spoken English for the purpose of providing feedback, and to the storage of memory facts (job, hobbies, goals, recurring mistakes, conversational threads) so each AI teacher can pick up where the previous session left off. You can review, edit, or delete memory entries any time at Settings → Memory, or turn the feature off. Memory data is processed by third-party AI providers acting as data processors who do not retain or train on your data. These providers are listed in the Privacy Policy.
8. Limitation of Liability
SpeakShark is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
