HCLTech TechBee 2026 Assessment Dates and HCL CAT

TechBee has no national 2026 test day. Eligible Class XII applicants schedule HCL CAT after official email, generate an admit card, then take Versant and interview.

HCLTech TechBee does not publish one national 2026 entrance-exam date. Candidates register, receive an official email and schedule HCL CAT through the TechBee portal.

An admit card can be generated after the appointment is selected. The current sequence is HCL CAT, a spoken-English Versant stage and an HCLTech interview.

The live route is for eligible Indian Class XII graduates from 2025 and 2026. Start a free SpeakShark conversation for general interview speaking, then use the TechBee portal for the real appointment.

In this guide: date | steps | HCL CAT | Versant | eligibility | JEE | fees | programme | method | FAQ

Why there is no public national date

The TechBee calendar is candidate-scheduled rather than one fixed all-India day.

Scheduling step Official position
Registration Candidate completes the current TechBee application
Permission to schedule Sent through official registered-email communication
Date selection Completed in the TechBee portal
Admit card Generated after the candidate schedules the exam
Test mode Current entrance test is online

An unofficial September date cannot replace the portal appointment. Two eligible applicants may receive different session options.

The official FAQ tells candidates to wait for communication explaining how to schedule. It does not promise that every completed registration immediately produces an admit card.

Candidates should check the sender, domain and portal before using any schedule link because HCLTech says it has no partner or vendor selling TechBee recruitment access.

2026 TechBee selection sequence

Stage Published purpose
Registration Create the candidate application
HCL CAT Quantitative, logical reasoning and language ability
Versant Language ability including spoken English
Interview One-to-one HCLTech selection interaction
Offer and training Enter the relevant TechBee programme after successful selection

The entrance exam is currently online. HCLTech says the later one-to-one interview may be invited separately or completed online as part of the hybrid process.

Passing one stage does not guarantee the final offer. A candidate exempt from HCL CAT still completes Versant and interview.

The existing HCLTech Versant guide covers the current company evidence boundary. This article owns TechBee scheduling and the full sequence.

What HCL CAT assesses

HCL CAT is described as a basic career aptitude test containing:

  • Quantitative ability.
  • Logical reasoning.
  • Language ability.

The current public TechBee page does not publish one universal question count, timer or cutoff. Those details should come from the portal instructions and admit card.

HCL CAT is not the Common Admission Test used for Indian management-school admission. The acronym belongs here to HCL's career aptitude stage.

There is no assessment fee. A person asking for a security deposit, equipment payment or recruitment charge before HCL CAT conflicts with the official warning.

Related aptitude schedules such as TCS iON NQT, SSC CGL, and IBPS PO are separate tests.

Versant is the spoken-English stage

TechBee explicitly places Versant after HCL CAT and describes it as a language-ability test including spoken English.

The public page does not publish:

  • A universal Versant product name.
  • A fixed question count.
  • One companywide pass score.
  • A guaranteed retest.
  • A single interval between HCL CAT and Versant.

Candidates should therefore follow the invitation instead of assuming Pearson's general product defaults or a previous cohort's cutoff.

For general spoken practice, use call-centre English assessment guide, Versant question formats, camera and headphone setup, and English job interview role plays. Start free speaking practice without treating SpeakShark as Versant preparation.

2025 and 2026 Class XII eligibility

Applicants must be Indian residents who passed Class XII in 2025 or 2026.

Board group Published aggregate floor
Andhra Pradesh, NIOS, Tamil Nadu, Telangana 75%
CBSE, ISC, Odisha, Karnataka 70%
Assam, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Punjab 65%
Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Jharkhand 60%

IT-role candidates also need Mathematics or Business Mathematics with at least 60%.

If two Class XII mark sheets exist because of improvement, TechBee says the latest mark sheet is used across all subjects for percentage calculation.

Eligibility must still be verified from the live application because board naming and programme intake can change.

JEE Main exemption

Candidates with 80th percentile or higher in IIT/JEE Main 2025 or 2026 can be exempted from HCL CAT for IT-role selection.

The exemption does not remove:

  1. The relevant Class XII board cutoff.
  2. The 60% Mathematics or Business Mathematics condition.
  3. Versant.
  4. The HCLTech interview.
  5. Document verification.

JEE exemption is therefore a route around one aptitude stage, not direct TechBee admission.

Candidates should provide the official JEE result requested by the portal and not self-report a rounded percentile.

Assessment fee versus programme fee

Payment question Official answer
HCL CAT fee No fee
Recruitment fee HCLTech says none
Security deposit for a job Not charged
Software or equipment charge to secure a job Not charged
IT Services programme fee INR 1.40 lakh after legitimate selection route
Business Process Operations programme fee INR 51,000 after legitimate selection route

The programme fee is not a payment to buy an exam pass or job offer. It belongs to the training programme after selection.

HCLTech states that TechBee is offered by HCL Training and Staffing Services, an HCLTech subsidiary and approved National Skill Development Corporation training partner.

Candidates should verify the offer document before paying any training fee.

Training, stipend and starting salary

The India programme lasts 12 months.

Phase Published duration or amount
Classroom training 6 to 9 months
On-the-job training 3 to 6 months
Internship stipend INR 10,000 per month
IT Services starting salary Around INR 2.50 lakh per year
Business Process Operations starting salary Around INR 2.20 lakh per year

Training combines IT or process fundamentals, communication, professional grooming and project work. Successful completion leads to the relevant full-time HCLTech role under the programme terms.

Candidates can also pursue work-integrated higher education through listed partner institutions, but the specific degree, fees and admission terms need separate verification.

General workplace practice can include office small talk in English, adult English conversation topics, practice speaking alone, and English conversation practice apps.

Other employer assessments differ: Accenture Versant, Concentrix Versant, TCS and Cognizant communication routes, Teleperformance tests, and Deloitte USI Versant.

How we researched this guide

On August 28, 2026, we checked the live TechBee India programme page and official FAQs for scheduling, admit cards, HCL CAT fees, selection stages and eligibility.

The pages support a portal-scheduled online exam, not one nationwide date. They also support HCL CAT followed by Versant and interview, plus the 80th-percentile JEE exemption.

We did not invent a September test day, HCL CAT timer or companywide Versant cutoff. We kept the no-fee assessment separate from published training programme fees and did not use SpeakShark customer data.

We are a speaking improvement tool. We are not an exam preparation provider, and we are not affiliated with HCLTech, HCL Training and Staffing Services or any exam board. For test format, booking and official practice material, go to the exam body directly. Use SpeakShark to make your spoken English stronger, and use official material to learn the test.
