OET Nursing Test Dates in the UK: September 2026

The official OET calendar lists 21 computer dates for OET Nursing in September 2026: September 7 to 12, 14 to 19, 21 to 26, and 28 to 30. The global paper calendar adds September 5 and September 19, but both paper booking deadlines had passed by August 28.

London has public OET routes in both modes. The location finder showed OET on Paper at International House London and Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College, plus OET on Computer at High Holborn House. Actual September appointments remain capacity-dependent.

September 2026 OET on Computer dates

OET lists Nursing among the available professions for all 21 September computer dates.

The table does not list Sunday computer tests. It also has no computer date from September 1 through 5.

Each computer booking closes seven days before the date at 11:59PM UTC. In September, British Summer Time is one hour ahead of UTC, so the stated OET cutoff converts to 00:59 BST on the following calendar day. Use OET's UTC deadline rather than guessing from local midnight.

The computer calendar is global. A date becomes usable only when the booking platform shows a UK centre, appointment and accepted Speaking mode.

The UK September IELTS calendar serves a different test and should not be used as a substitute without NMC acceptance. NMC currently accepts IELTS Academic and OET as its two named language tests.

Global paper dates and closed deadlines

The global paper table lists two September Saturdays.

Both deadlines are past as of August 28. A candidate without an existing paper booking should use the live computer finder or choose a later paper date.

The September 5 test lists Nursing, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Radiography and Veterinary Science. September 19 lists only Nursing and Medicine.

Leicester College independently publishes a September 19 OET date, matching the official global paper table. The OET finder also returns Leicester College as a paper venue from a London search. Capacity and the selected profession still belong to the booking platform.

OET says paper bookings generally close 24 days before the test, subject to change. The exact paper table should take priority because it supplies the actual date-specific deadline.

UK venues found in the live search

On August 28, an official OET search centred on London returned 25 venue results across three pages. The first page included:

The same result set also showed computer routes farther away, including Online Exams Sefton House and Birmingham City University.

These are public finder records, not a promise of a Nursing appointment on every computer date. Select Nursing, not Medicine or a generic healthcare option, and verify the four-sub-test timetable.

The exact Speaking arrangement can differ from the written appointment. OET warns computer candidates to choose a Speaking mode accepted by the organisation receiving the result.

Computer and paper result timing

The September computer calendar uses four Friday result batches.

OET's current support guidance says computer results can arrive in as little as 48 hours after all four sub-tests are completed, with 95% released within six calendar days. The calendar's batch date remains the safer planning limit.

Paper results outside India and the Philippines begin from 13 days after testing. The exact global schedule sets September 22 and October 6, each 17 calendar days after the corresponding UK paper date.

Additional quality or security checks can delay either mode. A result publication date is not the same as the date NMC verifies it.

Applicants must give the NMC permission to verify results in the MyOET account. When combining two tests, grant access to both.

OET Nursing fee in the UK

OET lists AU$587 for the complete four-sub-test exam outside the United States. A UK card provider converts the Australian-dollar charge under its exchange-rate and foreign-transaction rules.

OET says individual paper sub-tests are available only at a majority of venues and only after a previous full test. The receiving organisation must accept the partial booking.

For NMC test combining, both sittings must include all four language skills. A one-sub-test paper booking therefore does not create one of the two complete sittings NMC describes.

NMC OET Nursing score requirement

The Nursing and Midwifery Council requires applicants to select Nursing as the OET profession.

NMC accepts OET on Paper, OET on Computer and OET@Home under its current guidance. It also accepts combinations across these modes when all other conditions are met.

How NMC test combining works

NMC can combine two OET sittings, but it does not simply take the best four numbers without floors.

The two tests must:

• Be taken within 12 months of each other.
• Include Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking in both sittings.
• Be no more than two years old when NMC assesses the complete application.
• Reach each required score at least once across the pair.
• Meet the minimum floor in every component of both sittings.

For example, Listening 300 in test one and 350 in test two can combine if every other rule is met. Listening 290 in either test makes that combination unacceptable because it falls below the 300 floor.

NMC does not combine an IELTS sitting with an OET sitting. Use its official calculator before paying for a second test.

If one domain remains narrowly below the required score after combining, some UK workers may qualify for supporting information from an employer. That SIFE route has employment, duration and manager conditions and is not a general exemption.

Identity, timetable and verification

OET requires the booking ID to match the accepted ID presented on test day. A valid passport is the simplest cross-border option. Other government IDs must satisfy the current country-specific criteria.

For paper testing, the venue emails the timetable within one week of test day. It includes each sub-test date, time, venue and address. Computer bookings show the dates and times in the confirmation email and OET account.

1. Select Nursing as the profession.
2. Confirm the NMC score shape and whether combining is needed.
3. Search the UK city in OET's location finder.
4. Choose paper or computer and an available centre.
5. Verify the Speaking mode and all four sub-test dates.
6. Match the OET account name to the accepted ID.
