September 2026 OET on Computer dates

OET's global computer calendar shows Medicine on every listed September date.

There is no Sunday computer date in the published September table. The month also has no computer listing from September 1 through 5.

The deadline pattern is exact: each date closes seven days earlier. A September 7 booking closes August 31; September 30 closes September 23. OET states the cutoff is 11:59PM UTC, not local midnight at the candidate's US location.

This is a global delivery calendar. It establishes that Medicine is an available profession on each date, but it does not promise a seat at every US centre. The booking platform must still return a venue and time.

Americas paper dates and closed deadlines

The separate Americas paper table lists two September dates.

Both paper deadlines are already past as of August 28. A candidate who did not book by August 25 should not plan around the September 18 paper test.

OET says paper bookings generally close 24 days before the test, subject to change. The exact table is more useful here because it provides the actual deadline and result date for each administration.

The September 4 paper test lists Nursing, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Radiography and Veterinary Science. September 18 lists only Nursing and Medicine. Profession availability therefore changes even within one delivery mode and region.

Paper results outside India and the Philippines are released from 13 days after testing. The two exact Americas dates above are 18 calendar days after their tests.

What the US location search confirms

On August 28, we searched OET's public finder for New York, New York, United States. The first results included:

• OET on Computer in Brooklyn.
• OET on Computer in New York.
• OET on Paper at Rennert International Manhattan.
• OET on Computer in Queens.
• Additional computer routes in nearby New York and New Jersey locations.

This confirms physical US test options. It does not prove that all 21 computer dates have remaining capacity at one named centre.

ECFMG states that OET on paper and OET on computer are available at physical venues in the United States. OET@Home is reserved for certain applicants who do not have a physical venue in their country. An IMG in the United States should not assume remote eligibility when the country has venue options.

The exact appointment can include separate Speaking details. OET warns computer candidates to choose a Speaking mode accepted by the receiving organisation. Read the confirmation before assuming all four sub-tests happen at one continuous appointment.

Computer result batches

The published computer table groups tests into Friday result batches.

OET's current support guidance is faster than the outer table dates. It says computer results can arrive in as little as 48 hours after all four sub-tests are complete, and 95% are released within six calendar days.

Use the slower layer for a high-stakes deadline. Additional quality or security checks can delay a result. ECFMG also needs time after OET publishes the score.

ECFMG says a passing result normally updates in the Pathways application within three business days after transmission. A mismatch in MyIntealth ID, date of birth or profile details can prevent the release.

OET Medicine fee in the USA

OET currently lists US$455 for the full OET on Computer at a venue in the United States. The full international test is otherwise listed at AU$587.

The inability to buy one sub-test matters for ECFMG. Even outside the price rule, ECFMG requires all four thresholds in one administration. A candidate who misses Writing cannot preserve the other three ECFMG scores and replace Writing alone.

Rescheduling or cancelling can add material cost. OET lists US$95 before the computer booking cutoff and US$155 after the cutoff for US rescheduling, subject to its current conditions.

Check the live checkout and policy before payment. Discounts can restrict rescheduling, and the payment window after selecting a date is only 15 minutes.

ECFMG 2027 Pathways score requirement

ECFMG requires all 2027 Pathways applicants to meet the OET Medicine communication-skills requirement. It states there are no exemptions based on native language, citizenship or medical-school language of instruction.

All four scores must come from one test administration. If any component is below its minimum, ECFMG requires the candidate to retake Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking and meet every threshold together.

The 2027 Pathways accept a satisfactory OET Medicine result from a test taken on or after January 1, 2025. A passing older score does not meet that season's stated date condition.

OET is one Pathways requirement, not the entire Pathway. The applicant must also choose the correct Pathway, submit the application, provide supporting documents and obtain approval.

Why September provides a retake buffer

ECFMG recommends taking OET Medicine no later than the last scheduled test date in December 2026 for the 2027 Match. It explicitly says earlier is better because the candidate may need another test date after an unsatisfactory result.

The formal Pathways timing includes:

• Submit the 2027 Pathways application by January 31, 2027 Eastern Time.
• Ensure ECFMG receives required supporting documentation by that date unless a Pathway says otherwise.
• Ensure ECFMG receives OET scores directly from OET by January 31 for timely Match processing.
• Meet all examination requirements before the NRMP Rank Order List Certification deadline.

A September computer test leaves October, November and December for another full administration. A late December first attempt leaves much less room for a delayed result, profile mismatch or retake.

From May 14, 2026 onward, ECFMG requires the MyIntealth ID when OET results are released to ECFMG. The MyIntealth ID is not the same as the USMLE ID. Check the profile before testing.

The communication deadline is one part of the IMG timeline. Do not infer that passing OET alone makes an applicant ECFMG Certified or Match eligible.

Identity and booking checks

OET requires the booking ID to match the ID presented on test day. US test-takers can use a valid passport or a single qualifying US government-issued ID containing full name, photograph and date of birth.

Only a REAL ID-compliant driver's licence is accepted under the current US-specific driver's-licence rule. The star appears in the top corner. An ordinary non-compliant licence should not be assumed valid.

Before booking:

1. Confirm eligibility for a 2027 Pathway.
2. Obtain the correct MyIntealth ID.
3. Match the OET account name and birth date to the accepted ID.
4. Search the US city and select a physical computer venue.
5. Choose Medicine as the profession.
6. Verify the Speaking mode.
7. Select a date whose deadline remains open.
8. Complete US$455 payment within the booking timer.
9. Retain the confirmation and all sub-test times.

OET sends paper timetables through the venue within one week of test day. Computer booking dates and times appear in the confirmation email and OET account.
